Urinary tract infection (acute and chronic)

Urinary tract infection (acute and chronic) causes a range of symptoms including painful and difficult urination (dysuria), malaise, nausea, increased sensation to urinate (urgency) and frequency to urinate, and increased urination at night (nocturia). There may be a feeling of fullness in the pelvic/bladder region not relieved by urination and if the infection is higher up the urinary tract, in the region of the kidney, lower back pain or genital pain is common.
